Mikala's Grad BBQ
2 down 1 to go! This past weekend we celebrated my son Mikala's graduation from Pearl City High School. Kala wanted a low key party more along the lines of our typical "Family Style BBQ" instead of the full on rent a hall and cater the food kine li' dat. Uncle Marlon and I along with my mom and Arlene got the menu together and arranged for the spread for the day. The usual Shakas x Alohas fam as well as Mikala's uncles, aunties, gradmas and grandpas, cousins, and so on and so forth showed up to help celebrate this special occasion. We got front row seating at our usual spot at Ala Moana Beach Park along with the a little bit of surf and great weather to top things off. The food was good as usual and the drinks quite cold. There's was even a some shave ice to add to add to good measure! Goodtimes as usual with the family and friends on a typical beautiful day here in Hawaii! Congratulations goes out to Mikala on making it through the first stage of graduating from high school! Now the question is.....which road do you take next?!!!
