Kenny Brimer
So if you haven't heard by now, my buddy Kenny Brimer found a bone marrow donor match. Kenny is up in California right now and will be going through with his transplant procedure tommorow. While going through his bout with leukemia Kenny has remained to be positive and even found time to skateboard between his chemo treatments. He is an inspiration to everyone that he's around and we're all pulling for him. Here are a few pics that Kenny sent me from the treatment center he's at. Enjoy!

Last day Mexican fix
This was my last day in Long Beach. Super Bowl Sunday a matter of fact and I wanted to head back to Hawaii with one last stop for Mexican Food. This is a famous little hole in the wall taqueria in Long Beach that all the locals like to patronize. I got the carne asada plate and Nick got the "asada fries". I miss this place already!

Star Wars
This is for more homies John and Tory back in Hawaii. There was a toy store in the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica that had a ton of Star Wars memorabillia. Brought back good memories of unwrapping Star Wars action figures for Christmas a long, long time ago. Enjoy!
First United
All original, all vintage deadstock. This place was rad. Located in Bellflower next to the infamous Doughboys was this shoe store called First United. They basically bought out old original inventory from other footwear stores. There was a crazy collection of all different kinds of workboots, Doc Martin's, cholo shoes, and random memorabillia all in original dusty weathered boxes. William the old guy that worked there was pretty rad too!
California Heritage Museum
Before we hit up the Venice Skatepark Nick, Jen and I were walking up and down Main St. in Santa Monica when this place caught my eye. I saw the banner with Shogo Kubo (Hawaii kamaaina/shredder/legend) hanging from what looked to be a house. Ends up this is a museum right smack dab in the middle of where it all began for the Dogtown legacy. I tried to go in to check it out but I guess they were closed. Looked like alot of rad memoribilia on display though. Kinda reminded me of a recent show we had the Blue Hawaii Gallery with Mike Kays.
Venice
Nick, Jen, and I made our way up to Venice from Long Beach to check out the new Venice Skate Park. The park was super sick! Nick was shredding as usual. Robby Gaskell (Eighty Four Skate Co. teamrider) and fam came down to meet up with us. It was cold as hell with the wind whipping a stiff breeze from off the ocean so we didn't stay to long.
